# Using Conditions

Seatbelt uses traditional SQL WHERE clause syntax for conditions to query data

# Schema Fields

Example: Select stories

SELECT id FROM issues WHERE fields.issuetype.name = 'Story'

You can use schema fields directly to add condition.

Example: Select stories without Epic

SELECT
  id
FROM issues
WHERE
  fields.issuetype.name = 'Story'
  AND ExtractCustomFields(alm_customfields, 'Epic Link') IS NULL
